The Down and Out is a 3D platformer/souls-like developed for Metroidvania Month 23. GAMEPAD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. In-game input prompts shown are for gamepad only.
Walk - WASD/Left stick
Jump - Space/southern face button
Interact - E/northern face button
Melee (once unlocked) - F/Left click/right shoulder
Dodge - X/left shoulder
Pause - escape/start button
Update 3/16: Fixed a bug with sfx/music options

Just extract the zip, and run the exe, and you should be good to go!

4 hours trying to get up here and when I arrive the light doesn't propel me upwards
Really impressed you managed to get up there! :o it's supposed to be inaccessible, and a teaser for where you would go much later (after the "to be continued...").
Here's my gameplay. The wall ride was a little iffy, I couldn't tell when I was going to drop off the wall. I like the use of the fixed camera angle, keeps the mind thinkin gof what potential secrets could be *just* out of sight but we don't yet have the angle or ability to see for sure.
Thanks so much for checking it out! Yeah, wallrun is a little inconsistent and something I'm reworking for the full game for sure.
